Wolf Hunting in Alberta CanadaA Prized Species
Wolf hunting is becoming very popular and Alberta, Canada is known as a premier destination – both for its high density of timber wolves and for the timing of the hunt. Whether you’d like a grey or black wolf … or it doesn’t matter … you just want one – we’ve got you covered.

Timing Your Wolf Hunting Adventure
The best time for wolf hunting is December and January. Fur is in prime condition at this time, before breeding takes place. Our posted package involves six days of hunting, but if you would like more time afield, ask us about pro-rating to accommodate additional days upon booking.

Baited or Calling Hunts
One of North America’s most prized predator species, wolf hunting can be challenging, but highly rewarding. We offer both calling and baited hunts. If you prefer sitting and waiting, we will place you in a blind with a heater overlooking a wolf bait. With baited hunts, our blinds are camouflaged in a semi-concealed strategic location – usually between 125 and 175 yards away – and baits are monitored with trail cameras.
Wolves typically travel throughout their territories in multi-day cycles. The key is to be watching the bait when they show. Hunters with the tenacity to stick it out and be there when they arrive, are usually rewarded with a shot opportunity.
If you prefer being proactive, we also offer calling hunts. We actively travel roads and trails looking for fresh sign (tracks, scat and territorial marking), and probe the woods with howls to locate wolves, then move in and either howl or use prey-distress calls to bring them in for a shot opportunity. If you’re willing to work for your trophy, taking a wolf can be one of the most exhilarating hunting experiences you’ll ever have!
